Shark Dive

Well last weekend I had the chance to dive in Catalina.  what a great place to  dive
. We made four dives over a short period of time, but we also got to dive with a group of blue sharks. That in itself is something to wonder about, for most people don't even like swimming in water if they know there are sharks around.  But from what I saw last weekend everyone liked the way they looked and the way they moved in the water.  These animals are incredible creatures which can swim to depths that most people wouldn't even think about going even in a sub. Sharks have their own mystic which people fear.

So now let me give you some insight on this weekends diving. The boat left the dock at about 5:00am and the ride was about 2 to 3 hours long which wasn't bad for most of the divers were sleeping and didn't mind the trip. Once at the dive site the DM gave a briefing on the dive, you know the do's and don'ts when in the water with the sharks. After the briefing it was about 2 hours before we had enough sharks us around to make things interesting. Once we got the ok, each group of divers which numbered no more than three, stayed down no more then 20 mins so that everyone had a chance to dive. Once the shark dive was over we went closer to land and had a great couple of dives in about 90ft of water. The visibility was around 40 plus feet and the water temp was also great 76 plus depending on who you talk too. That night we all had dinner on shore and got to party together. The next day was a full day of  diving at Eagles Nest and surrounding areas and then it was off to do some snorkeling with leopard sharks.  Now it's time to eat and head back to the harbor.  There was lots to see and if you ever want to try something like this. I think it would be a great experience for all.

Here is a look at what we got to see. Hope you like it.
